Hope Blooms: A Community Breast Cancer Awareness Event in Salisbury
Hope Blooms: A Community Breast Cancer Awareness Event in Salisbury
Join TidalHealth for events dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and fostering a sense of empowerment within our communities.
TidalHealth will host two breast cancer community awareness celebrations in both Salisbury, Md. (Oct. 1, 2024) and Seaford, Del. (Oct. 3, 2024) beginning at 5 pm each night. The Salisbury event will be held outside the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional with a short walk to The Giving House where the festivities will be conducted. The Seaford event will begin at the Allen Cancer Center with a short walk to Gateway Park where the festivities will be conducted.
Breast cancer affects millions of lives every year, touching families, friends, and individuals across the globe and here on the Delmarva Peninsula. 300,000 women in the United States will be told this year that they have breast cancer. It is the second leading cancer killer next to lung cancer of wives, mothers, grandmothers, and all women.
TidalHealth’s community breast cancer awareness events will bring attention to the importance of early detection, prevention, and support for those battling cancer. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local cancer experts in the field and access valuable resources.
Both events are open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you're a survivor, a caregiver, or simply interested in learning more about breast cancer, this event offers a platform for education, engagement, and empowerment.
Free parking will be provided at each location. The events will culminate with both of TidalHealth’s cancer centers being lit in pink in celebration of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
