Starlight Anthem, a rock/pop band from the Frederick area, is our headliner.
Wear your brightest and sparkliest outfits to see if you'll be named Salisbury's Shining Star, and get food and drinks from Mad Hatter Cafe / The Looking Glass and other nearby restaurants. Stay tuned as we announce more of what's to come for the 2024 celebration!

3rd Friday FeBREWary
Downtown Salisbury MD, United StatesSALISBURY, Md. – From coffee to beer and more, brew up a good time during the February 3rd Friday event, which has a theme of “FeBREWary.” Third Friday is Friday, Feb. 16, and runs from 5-8 p.m.
Third Friday does not feature outdoor activities during the winter months, but people are encouraged to visit Downtown Salisbury restaurants and shops.
The Salisbury Art Space will host a reception for its Member Showcase from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday. Stay at the Salisbury Art Space for an open mic night, held in partnership with the Fenix Youth Project, at 7 p.m.
Nearby at the Salisbury University Art Galleries’ Downtown Gallery, visit the opening reception of “Flight or Fight,” featuring works by Christine Tyler, Michel Demanche and Caitlin Gill, which will run from 5-7 p.m. on 3rd Friday. The exhibit will run through March 29.
Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles will premiere a Bali Roast from Iron Skillet Coffee and offer chocolate and coffee samples. Mad Tatter Social Club will feature a $50 tattoo flash sale.
Local restaurants will feature live music and DJs during 3rd Friday. Brew River Restaurant and Bar will host Fred Martin & The Evolution from 7-11 p.m. and DJ Str8 Up from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. DJ Nick at Nite will play at MoJo’s Urban Eatery from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. At Market Street Inn, watch The Mercury Agenda from 6-9 p.m. and listen to DJ Vibe from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Salisbury Headquarters 115 S. Division St, salisbury, United StatesJoin Salisbury’s Arts, Business and Culture Department and City of Salisbury Poet Laureate Nancy Mitchell for a night of poetry at the Salisbury Headquarters building on Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m.
This is part of a second Thursday series from March-June.
The guest poet is Dom Sessa, Ms. Wheelchair Maryland, and this event will also serve as the book launch for the "Poets on the Plaza" anthology.

Hops on the River
Downtown Salisbury MD, United StatesHop on over to Downtown Salisbury for the fourth annual Hops on the River, set for Saturday, April 13. Regular event hours will run from 2-5 p.m., with VIP ticket holders allowed early access at 1 p.m.
Enjoy unlimited samples of craft beer from local breweries near the Wicomico River. The event will take place in Downtown Salisbury, in the area between Unity Square and Riverwalk Games Park.
There will be food trucks on-site, and the event will also feature music, games and craft vendors, along with a new King of Wings competition.
All attendees must be 21 or older. No vertical IDs will be accepted. There are no DD tickets, although non-drinkers ages 21 and older can attend at no charge and not taste any alcohol.
The event is weather-permitting; the rain date is April 14.

3rd Friday: Sustainable Spring
Downtown Salisbury MD, United StatesFor the first outdoor 3rd Friday of the season, we'll be celebrating Sustainable Spring in Downtown Salisbury! JDY Dance Theatre will be performing and we'll have The Bozick Variant playing at Unity Square and Loud Moon playing on the Plaza. We'll also have plenty of vendors and fun activities. Zoo Stampede 5K Run/Walk 2024
Salisbury Zoo Salisbury, MD, United StatesThe Salisbury Zoo's annual Zoo Stampede 5K, sponsored by Vernon Powell Shoes, is set for Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. The race kicks off from the Salisbury Zoo's East Gate (across from the Elks Golf Club).
The race will go through the Zoo and along the Salisbury City Park's greenway. The course is primarily along a crushed-stone path. 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Salisbury Zoo.
Top male and female runners will receive a gift certificate for a free pair of shoes from VP Shoes. Three age group winners in each category will receive medals. The first-place winner in each age group will also receive a VP Shoes gift card.
Sign up by April 5 to guarantee a shirt. Online registration is available through April 17 at 4 p.m. for $25; race-day registration is $30 from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
