On Tuesday, November 28th from 5-8pm, kick off the holiday season in "style" (well...sort of!) with an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at The Brick Room in Salisbury! This party is being held on Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is an annual national day of encouraging folks to give back to local charities within their communities, at the start of the holiday season!
The party will feature live music from Mike Dryden. The Brick Room bartenders will be serving delicious holiday-themed cocktails to enjoy. 1 Year to Empowerment will be providing some complimentary snacks, and there will be a few prizes for the "UGLIEST SWEATER"!
The Giving Tuesday festivities will support 1 Year to Empowerment, a free and year-long program for middle and high school girls on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. This year, 33 "Empowerees" are participating in the program. In 2024, the 1 Year to Empowerment program will be celebrating its 10th anniversary of providing a program that builds self-esteem, self-respect, and self-reliance within local middle and high school girls!
