Please ask staff from the children’s desk to enter the program room anytime between 10 am and 3 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Children age 2–6 and their caregivers are invited to Mini-Montessori! Montessori play is purposeful play that mimics real-life tasks. It focuses on mindfulness during activities and focusing on the task at hand. There is no “right way” to interact in a Montessori setting. The goal is for children to independently interact and come up with their own creative solutions using trial and error.
Developmental milestones necessary for the child to completely interact in this program would be:
Out of teething phase
Moving independently
Ability to communicate and/or follow direction
Comfortable around objects such as rice, paint, and small objects

Studies have shown that singing aloud and sharing books aloud help your child's brain development and health. This program is designed to introduce young children and their families to foundational elements of literacy. Additionally, storytime provides an opportunity for children and their caregivers to make new connections in their community and find new ways to play together.
The program is free and does not require registration.

In the Young Thinkers Club, children will play games, talk, and do activities that get them thinking--and having fun! This club is led by faculty and students from Salisbury University's philosophy department.
This club seeks to help children develop critical thinking skills and get them to socialize with their peers. It is designed for children ages 8 - 11, younger children are welcome but may require adult support.

If you or a friend want to take a crack at stand up comedy, or you are a local comic looking to work on new material Big Timing Comedy is hosting open mic comedy at Roadie Joes in Downtown Salisbury Maryland!
Local comedian John Dayton is the host and will be running the show.
Signups are in advance and slots are limited, first come first serve. Your line up on the night of the open mic is not based on your sign up order.

Open mic nights start at 8:00PM, arrive no later than 7:30 (half hour prior to the mic) and check in with John Dayton. Open mic will be held upstairs which will open at 7:45PM, but the main bar will be open if you arrive early.

A nighttime walk in and around the Salisbury Plaza - the historic district. the haunted crossroads of Delmarva.
Feel the heavy energy and hear about the remarkable paranormal happenings in the largest city on the Delmarva Peninsula where see-through phantoms have been seen walking the streets.
Hear about the Tory Mercenary and his unfortunate skull, murders at the old Courthouse, a deceased admin assistant who is still assisting, and TWO firehouses - both said to be haunted by Salisbury firemen of the past.
Some even say that Salisbury University has a haunted building on its grounds. You’ll hear that story too, as well as the ghosts of Poplar Hill Mansion.
MEETING PLACE Unity Square on S. Division Street directly across from the Public Parking Garage and in front of the First Shore Federal building. (South Division and Camden Streets). Park in the public parking garage on Circle Ave.
NOTE - We DO NOT enter any of these properties, nor do we guarantee any ghost sightings. The tour is history and mystery-focused, but guests are welcome to bring ghost-hunting equipment and cameras. No VIDEO recording is permitted on the tour.
