Stop the Bleed Class
January 15 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Learning to stop a life-threatening bleed is a skill everyone should have. Whether you’re a hunter, Scout leader, teacher or just someone who wants to be able to save a life, this class is for you. Learn how to stop traumatic bleeding and apply tourniquets in a FREE class led by members of PRMC’s Trauma Team on January 15 from 6-8 p.m. in our Hallowell Conerence Center (enter through the Hanna Outpatient entrance near our visitor parking garage, and take the elevator to the ground floor).
No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss.
“Stop the Bleed” is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives.
The only thing more tragic than a death from bleeding is a death that could have been prevented!
This free class will be held at Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Hallowell A room. Sign up online at www.peninsula.org/stopbleed.
