Salisbury Slow Roll

September 13, 2017 @ 5:15 pm - 8:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 5:15pm on day Second of the month, repeating until September 14, 2017

Join us on an easy bike ride through Salisbury!

This is a FREE, slow pace, family ride for ages 12 and above. The ride will be led by a League Certified Instructor and take place on open streets. We will keep our group together as we ride with traffic and explore Salisbury by bike.

A limited number of loaner bikes may be available courtesy of The Wheelhouse: A Bicycle Donation Hub. Please comment if you will need a loaner bike to provide an estimate of how many will be needed. We cannot guarantee bicycle availability.

Each month, we will explore a different part of downtown Salisbury. Join veteran bike commuters and learn how to ride comfortably in our community. You may even discover a new hidden route to get to your favorite destination!

Plan to have a helmet and a ride-ready bike at the start. Your bike should have air in its tires, brakes in working order, and chain lubed PRIOR to arriving.

The ride starts from the front lawn of the Government Office Building, located at 125 N Division St in Salisbury. Plan to arrive at 5:15. The pre-ride briefing starts at 5:25, and the ride departs at 5:30. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes to complete, and we will return to the Government Office Building.

The public is welcome to stay for the monthly B-PAC meeting afterwards to discuss updates on bicycle infrastructure and policies.
