Salisbury, MD: The Downtown Salisbury Festival is pleased to announce its entertainment line-up for June 7-9, 2019, presented by Toyota and Pohanka Automotive of Salisbury. The Paul Reed Smith Band will headline the Friday night concert, with local group The Permilla Project rocking PRS Guitars for the opener. Friday night will kick off with a 6 p.m. Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Jake Day, and special guests Wana Wõromaa Wunkorkestri, a community ensemble all the way from Viljandi, Estonia.
On Saturday, the entertainment continues all day with Tops Cut Off DJ Team making sure there is never a dull moment on stage. Live music begins with AMP: Academy for Music Performance’s cadre of rock bands. Next, at the invitation of Salisbury’s Haitian community, the X-Tassy Band will be visiting to bring us the sounds of Haiti. The afternoon continues with Salisbury-native R&B vocalist Jada Lee and hip-hop artist Devon Beck with The Uprizing Band closing out the night from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, music continues on Sunday with Red Letter Day, the Prince Street Elementary School Rythym and Roots drum brigade and the Chris English Blues. The main stage will be located on the brand new Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater, along the scenic Wicomico River. Just across the river there will be food trucks, carnival rides, vendors and more – for a weekend filled with fun for everyone.
